We’re playing with The English Beat Sunday, April 3rd!

Just Announced! This Sunday at the Cabooze, The Prizefighters will be opening for 2-Tone legends The English Beat! Tickets are $20 in advance, $22 at the door. This show will likely be sold out, so if you don’t want to buy tickets online, make sure to show up early and get a healthy dose of The Prizefighters and oversized Red Stripes!

This show will also be the debut of our new drummer, Eric. He’s been laying it down at rehearsals like he was born to play ska and reggae, so we’re all excited to have him on board! Come out and give Eric a warm Prizefighter welcome, and enjoy yourself on a lovely Sunday night in Spring. More info on the SHOWS page.

LP with Jump Up Records in the works!

Big news! Jump Up Records is planning to release a Special Edition of the “Follow My Sound” album on vinyl LP. The LP will feature some of the songs from the CD version, including some dubs, alternate versions and bonus tracks. We’re putting the finishing touches on the tunes, and shooting for an early-Summer release.

We’re also happy to announce that Anthony Abbinanti from the Drastics is working his dub wizardry on several Prizefighters tunes for the Special Edition LP, which will only be available on vinyl! Stay tuned for more LP updates; we’ll hopefully release the artwork soon. New t-shirts are on the way, too…there’s a lot brewing in the Prizefighters cauldron!
