“Follow My Sound” Special Edition LP drops October 21st!

We are proud to announce our release of the Follow My Sound special edition vinyl LP on Jump Up Records!  Almost a year ago, we put 5 years of writing, rehearsing, performing and overall hard work into our debut album Follow My Sound.  To commemorate that effort and to show our lovely fans a hint of things to come, we have recorded new bonus tracks and reworked old favorites with our new band members to put forth a special vinyl edition of our debut album.

The vinyl LP will officially be released on Friday, October 21st as part of the big MNSKA Double Release Party with our friends The Dropsteppers, who are releasing their debut CD Get Up In It! on Megalith Records, and long-time local favorites Umbrella Bed.  The party will be at Nomad World Pub in Minneapolis, MN.  Doors are at 9pm, $5 cover, 21+ show.  Make sure to bring your extra spending money to pick up the new music!

As a treat for you all, you can check out our music player and stream 3 new songs from the special edition LP!  “Moonlight” is a previously unreleased rocksteady tune we wrote a long time ago that we dusted off and improved with our new members.  “Take More Time” is an instrumental horn version of our song “Take Some Time” written by our horn players Courtney Klos and Ryan Peterson.  “Fibber’s Dub” is dub version of our song “Truth And Lies” created by our friend Anthony Abbinanti (The Drastics, Deal’s Gone Bad).

If vinyl is not your thing, stay tuned for a way to get a digital download of the special edition of Follow My Sound!  Also, we will be debuting the album art and tracklisting soon!

Above is a video of us kicking things off with a cover of The Skatalites classic scorcher “Confucius.”  We will work on getting video of our whole set uploaded to the internet for fans to view and enjoy.

“Follow My Sound” reviewed in Rocking Steady Zine

Our album Follow My Sound was recently reviewed in the international ska zine Rocking Steady!  In their glowing, yet honest review, they said:

(Follow My Sound) is stylistically somewhere between Madness, Intensified, and Hepcat.  What you have here is an honest-made ska sound, straight from the heart, from Ska to Reggae and back!”
